Winter Solstice Continuum Movement Retreat with Suzanne Wright Crain

December 2-4, 2011

Dancing Waters Inn, Wimberley, TX

$360 group housing/ $400 Private room (includes tuition, *vegetarian meals and housing)

Here we hold the context for the individual to follow their process in a community held process, in exchange with the larger field of awareness. With breath, sound, open attention and tracking with gestural drawing and painting we slow down the pace of our lives, creating a sense of spaciousness, bringing with it openness and creative opportunity.

Open systems are healthy and resonate with the living fluid matrix inside our bodies (on earth and throughout the galaxy). In Continuum Movement we tune our organism to a broader band of health, thus creating new pathways of movement through innovation and undulation.

By the time many of us are in our forties, we have symptoms of illness or disease. Like asthma, chronic fatigue, arthritis, allergies, IBS, edema, joint pain.., the symptoms are information that we can use to navigate upstream and contact and dissolve the original source. The source may be an “adaptive pattern” that is creating a closed system where the organism is recycling the same information. These adaptive patterns are actually a form of paralysis often held in the breath. Adaptive patterns create tissue weakness. Weak tissue is vulnerable tissue. In Continuum Movement we teach and model breaths, sounds and movement that change this density of the tissue from a compressed state to tissue that moves like silk over the bones. Dissolving the patterns that created the weak tissue opens opportunities for health and for the organism to do something different (instead of the repetitive symptom). This creates an open system. Whether your needs are:  to find an interesting way to move; self care & healing; connection; resurrection; or a cosmic dream, Continuum Movement offers resources for your particular conscious evolution.

This work is meant as an introduction to Continuum Movement as well as an opportunity for those familiar with the work to dwell in the resonant field we create and dissolve into the mystery. The Winter Solstice is an opportunity to quiet the system and welcome the wisdom of the coming darkness and incubation. Participants may sleep in the room and awaken to the gentle sounding.

Touching all the tones of winter and the depths of the darkness in our hearts and having happiness return out of these depths, in a big cosmic sperm moment when the sun energetically ignites the cosmic seed. Enacting these cycles by lying or shedding, gets one quiet enough to hear the solstice dream, resonating on the inside.

Times: Friday 3PM through Sunday 4 PM.

*Vegetarian meals. We will share the responsibility of the food by signing up to bring a salad or a soup or main course to share. Beverly Bajema will coordinate the menus and help select items each participant will bring.
